Starting February 23, 2023, DISH customers suffered a wide-spread outage caused by cybersecurity issues. The ransomware attack left many DISH customers without TV service for weeks.
If that's you, be aware that DISH customer service is inundated with reports and complaints, so you might have a hard time getting your call answered, though DISH has said that it has restored service to those affected by the ransomeware issue. DISH has also been intentionally increasing its call representatives to better handle the influx.
For now, know that DISH has also restored the ability to pay your bills using the secure form on their website, and the company will not be charging late fees for anyone who was unable to do so during the DISH outage and shutdown.
