The Starlink Mini is temporarily available for $499 from Starlink and other retailers in the U.S. It’s $100 savings from its regular price of $599. It’s not the lowest Starlink has sold the Mini, but it’s still a sizable discount for anyone hesitant to get one because of the high upfront cost.

The discount appeared without an official announcement. Starlink and several participating retailers have not disclosed how long the discount will last, except for Home Depot, which lists the sale as ending on March 31, 2025. While still more expensive than the Standard Starlink kit ($349), it’s still a decent discount.

If you purchased a Starlink Mini at full price 30 days before the discount arrived, submit a support ticket to see if you qualify for a partial refund.

The Starlink Mini launched in 2024 as a smaller, lightweight version of the Standard Starlink dish to get connected with satellite internet. It’s about half the size of the Standard dish and weighs even less. It’s roughly the size and shape of a small laptop. It has a built-in Wi-Fi router, eliminating the need to connect the dish to an external one. The Mini is compatible with Starlink’s two Roam plans: the Unlimited plan for $165 per month or the 50GB Roam plan for $50 per month.

It can be used while in motion, so during those long road trips, passengers can enjoy high-speed internet while driving across the country. It can also be used internationally and on the ocean near coasts.

Where can I get the Starlink Mini?

The Starlink Mini can be ordered directly from Starlink, which usually ships equipment within one to two weeks. It is also available from select retailers for the $499 sale price. Buying a Starlink kit from third-party retailers such as Best Buy or Home Depot has its advantages, namely the ability to simply pick it up from the store and begin using it. You can also take advantage of the retailers’ perks and refund policies.
